About Us
TOPAA is a discussion group focusing on the education of Texas children with special needs. It is designed to be a safe venue where we can share our experiences, provide advice and offer education to each other. Membership is by application only and limited to parents & legal guardians of children with special needs, especially those who are being educated under IDEA and Section 504, as well as the attorneys and advocates who represent them. School employees and school attorneys are prohibited. Exceptions are made on an individual basis by our membership committee.
Our mission is to assist advocates, attorneys and parents in securing appropriate and quality educational services for children with any type of disability.
